Peter Bruce, Founder & President
Peter Bruce founded statistics.com in 2000 as a resource for statistical analysts, and a searchable, browsable repository of statistical data links. In 2002, he created the site's first online professional development course. His role now is to oversee the general direction of the site, seek out world-renowned statistical experts and work with them on developing new courses.
Peter is also the developer of the current versions of Resampling Stats software. Bruce founded Resampling Stats, Inc. with Julian Simon, the originator of the Resampling Stats language, in 1989.
Peter taught introductory statistics at the University of Maryland, and has also taught professional development courses in resampling statistics for the Institute for Professional Education, American Statistical Association, U.S. Army, and other organizations.
Previously, Peter worked for Cytel Software Corp. and for the U.S. Foreign Service. He holds degrees from Princeton, Harvard, and the University of Maryland.
Valerie Troiano, Vice President
Valerie Troiano has directed sales and customer relations at statistics.com since 2000. Her work in the area of statistics began with Resampling Stats, Inc. in 1994. Previously, she was director of group and incentive travel operations for a Caribbean hotel company.
Kuber Deokar, Instructional Operations Supervisor
Kuber Deokar holds a Masters degree in Statistics from Pune University, India, where he also taught undergraduate statistics. He is responsible for coordination of statistics.com online courses, and ensures seamless interactions between the management team, course instructors, teaching assistants and students. He also serves as the senior teaching assistant and shares instructional responsibilities for several courses, and handles consultancy assignments, working from in our office in Pune, India.
