Modstat is a statistical software package that runs on PC's. It does over 400 statistical tests and routines. The one-time registration fee is $22.00 US for individuals and $17.00 US for students. A free two-month trial is available.

It is designed to help the user by advising as to the needed conditions for using a test and also suggests alternative tests if the conditions are not met. There are also two routines to help the user identify the correct test to use.

The learning curve is almost flat and a user can be running any of the tests within 10 minutes after installing the software. No special programming is needed.
