StatServer is a web-based decision support system based on S-PLUS 2000, the premier tool for data analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling. It enables analysts to deploy analytical tools to decision makers who can then run shared analytical models, view custom reports, and generate graphics from a familiar environment, such as a Web browser or Excel.

StatServer enables corporations to take advantage of existing Internet/intranet and client/server technologies to deploy analytical expertise throughout an organization. With StatServer, basic analytical models and data visualization capabilities are built and stored in a central server for access by a wide variety of users, who can apply these data analysis techniques from a familiar environment. By enabling users to run their own analyses, data analysts are freed to develop new analytical techniques, rather than having to run repetitive analyses in response to user requests.

StatServer Release 2 features improved perfomrance and enhanced remote administration. It also features a new version of its internal database, new graphic result formats, and support for Windows 2000.
