Week #8 – Confusion matrix

The upper left and lower right cells show counts of correct classifications (1’s classified as 1’s, and 0’s classified as 0’s).  The upper right and lower left cells show erroneous classifications (1’s classified as 0’s, and 0’s classified as 1’s).  The confusions matrix is also called a classification matrix.  The error rate of a classification model can be seen in the confusion matrix = # erroneous classifications/total  #classifications.
