Unlike other programs found online, programs at Statistics.com are focused, rigorous, and flexibly scheduled, perfect for adult learners, career changers and everyone tackling a continuing education curriculum.
Statistics lies at the heart of the type of quantitative reasoning necessary for making important advances in the sciences, such as medicine and genetics, and for making decisions in business and public policy. Our faculty are leading academic and industry experts in the field.
For example, while working in the health sciences, Dr Stephanie Kovalchik (pictured with laptop) was also conducting quantitative research in tennis. Currently, she works using data analysis to help understand performance in tennis for Tennis Australia, where she works as a data scientist for the Game Intelligence Group. An instructor with Statistics.com since 2016, she teaches Meta Analysis in R.
The Institute has 60 instructors — located throughout the world from India and Taiwan to Great Britain and the United States — who are recruited based on their expertise in various disciplines in statistics and teach at leading companies, universities, and institutions.
Many of our instructors are advisory board members or senior faculty at their respective institutions who have made significant contributions to the field of statistics or digital education in statistics. Dr. Cliff Ragsdale (pictured to the left with a student), is a Bank of America Professor of Information Technology at Virginia Tech. He has also served as an instructor at Statistics.com since June 2011, teaching courses covering Integer, Nonlinear and Linear Programming as well as Risk Simulation
“Teaching at Statistics.com for a decade has been a rewarding journey, allowing me to interact and learn the needs and interests of analytics and statistics professionals. Teaching is organized seamlessly and run smoothly by terrific supportive staff and leadership. Teaching small groups of professionals in this online environment is completely different from the one-way touch-and-go MOOC style.”
